Laboratory for autonomous mobile systemsThe research work is oriented towards the development of theory and application of modern methods of computer control as well as to modelling and simulation of dynamic processes. Adaptive and multivariable systems are special areas where robustness analysis, fuzzy set theory, neural networks, artificial intelligence and expert systems usage are under investigation. Significant stress is given also to the computer aided control system design, modelling and simulation. The mentioned methods are transferred to different fields where complex control systems can be applied as well as to some interdisciplinary areas (chemical engineering, biopharmacy, power plants, biomedicine, intelligent building etc.). Sequential and supervisory control areas are also intensively studied as well as manufacturing execution systems representing higher level in control hierarchy. Hybrid systems which involve the interaction of continuous and hybrid dynamics have been also the topic of intense research activity in recent years. Besides the investigation of multi agent systems has also an important role using the robotic soccer as an interesting playground for the development and testing of new ideas. Our robotic soccer team is one of the best in the world; it was the winner on the last European championship in 2003.
