Laboratory of Artificial Perception, Systems and Cybernetics
The Laboratory of Artificial Perception, Systems and Cybernetics (LUKS) pursues the goal of promoting research and education in all aspects of signal processing, pattern classification, analysis and understanding, speech technologies, biometrics, intelligent systems, information theoryand coding.
Laboratory staff members participate in educational activities of Doctoral, University, and Higher Professional Study, particularly in the study of Automationand Intelligent Systems.
Laboratory research projects are focusedon selected components of intelligent systems, like automatic speech recognition, speech synthesis, user's emotion recognition, intelligent dialogue systems, biometric user identification and verification. Such components are being developed as standalone products or as products that are embedded into more complex interdisciplinary systems, such as intelligent information systems, biometric surveillance systems, ambient intelligence systems, service robots, and alike.
