Laboratory for applied electronics
The Laboratory for Applied Electronics (LAE) is foremost an educational facility. It is primarily used for courses on the construction of electronic circuits and systems. As part of the courses laboratory exercises, consultations, student projects, practical work, etc. are conducted in this laboratory. Some of the courses taught in the lab are Microprocessor Systems Construction, Computer Assisted Design Tools, and Data Acquisition Systems. The courses are units of various study programmes at the graduate and postgraduate level. More than a hundred students from various programmes have graduated in this laboratory over the last decade.
Most of the systems built in the LAE include microprocessors or microcontrollers. A lot of emphasis is placed on electronic circuits simulation. Our aim is to prepare students to be independent and to awaken their creativity, therefore the laboratory exercises and student projects encompass problems commonly encountered in electronics design.
