Mission and Vision

The basic mission of the library is to collect, store, protect, present and enable the use of collections of library materials, as well as to ensure access to other information sources and services required by users in their study, pedagogical work and research.

As an information and reference centre for scientific and professional sources, the library provides information in the professional field of activity of the Faculty and conveys it to users, both from its own database and from subscribed databases, as well as through various electronic information services. By organising training on the searching, evaluation, selection and use of various types and formats of information sources, the library promotes the acquisition of information literacy competencies among students and contributes to the efficiency and quality of the scientific research work of Faculty staff.

By producing personal bibliographies of higher education teachers, scientific staff and associates, the library provides an overview of the professional and scientific activity of the Faculty and promotes the Faculty in Slovenia and internationally. To this end, it also provides support to open access in science and to open e-higher education.
