Objectives and competences:
Introductory subjects in the study of mobile and wireless technologies and associated service platforms. Understanding the issues from the perspective of wireless radio communications, capacity, security and use cases. Providing knowledge for the optimal selection of carrier services and understanding the integration of individual wireless systems.
Intended learning outcomes:
The knowledge acquisition of basic principles of mobile systems, architectural models, devices and protocols, and the services that are provided within such systems. Student will obtain a broader understanding of the composition of telecommunication systems and related services.
Learning and teaching methods:
- The lectures using demonstration cases provide explanation of content. The laboratory work enriches the knowledge gained by lectures to a practical level.
- The lectures are given in the classroom using computer presentations with animations. The lab work is performed in the laboratory using dedicated hardware and software equipment with variety of mobile and wireless terminals.
