* Female graduates take the latter title.
The basic objectives of the programme are:
- to combine technical and creative abilities,
- to perform work and implement tasks in the field of multimedia services and content,
- to apply an engineering approach to task solving,
- to understand design and production approaches in creating multimedia content,
- to participate in further education as a lifelong process.
General competences obtained through the programme:
- skills of collecting, using and evaluating data,
- broad interdisciplinary professional knowledge in the field of multimedia, telecommunications, IT, project management and the basics of graphic design and production,
- analysis and synthesis, anticipation of solutions and outcomes,
- the ability to use acquired knowledge in practice,
- a developed ability to self-learn in the professional field,
- independent management of assigned projects and teamwork,
- development of communication skills and abilities,
- the ability to seek out and integrate new information,
- understanding the co-dependency between technology and multimedia services,
- use of modern ICT tools and skills.
Subject-specific competences include:
- knowledge and understanding of telecommunications and IT,
- understanding of audio-visual communication,
- knowledge of the development of multimedia convergence services and content,
- knowledge and understanding of the creation of video, audio and written content,
- use of programming skills and modern software tools,
- understanding and use of the technical and legal aspects of content protection,
- understanding, planning and managing projects in the field of multimedia communications,
- development of skills in design and communication of content,
- understanding technological limitations in creating content,
- understanding and following of standards in the field of telecommunications, IT and multimedia technologies,
- the ability to develop and implement interactive web services using modern information sources,
- understanding the technological differences between modern devices and the ability to implement compatible multimedia services on various devices,
- understanding the issues of data searching and the ability to optimise their use in multimedia services,
- understanding the creation of visual messages, three-dimensional computer graphics and animation.
For the 2015/16 academic year, there are 30 study places available for full-time study and 3 study places available to Slovenian nationals without Slovenian citizenship and non-EU nationals.
