Content (Syllabus outline):

Lectures:

Organization (company, institution, etc..) and (its) organization. Organization and management. Diversification towards organizational science: the theory of the organization as its basic content, management theory, theory of organizational behavior, organizational development, management of people at work.Roots of Management Sciences as an integrator of knowledge about humans (psychology), technology and engineering, the relations in society (sociology and political science) and economics.The development of organizational science: the influence of social situations, organizational directions or schools. Modern organizational theory.The definition of "organization" and the types of organizational relationships.The interdependence of the target areas of organization and identification of the effects of organization: determining the quality of the organization as a dynamic structure of relationships. Transaction costs and property relations (social capital).
Environment of groups (change in environment, culture, environment).Individuals and groups: characteristics of individuals, sorts of groups, conflicts between groups, the influence of groups on the quality of the organization.Business and organizational strategy.Organizational functions (management, implementation), their historical development and organizational policy in the communities.Headmasters and managers, management styles and organizational culture (functions, types of styles, skills, knowledge, career, stress, values and ethics).Challenges of the modern management: adding value to the business, management of changes or renovations of communities, knowledge management, risk management, crisis management with the aim of reducing the organizational pyramid, organizational learning, management of innovation, social responsibility, management of non-profit organizations.Breakdown of work process at the organizational and business or operational part. Organizational processes (real-time coping, decision-making, study, design and modify configurations, applications and systems of identification) and informal organization.Organizational elements of the work process: working place, errand and work task. Theoretical organizational structure (technical, personnel, coordination, communication and motivation) and their forms: line, feature, line-Headquarters, project, matrix and others. External organization. Trends in the changing forms of organization. Organizational roles.Organizational systems: technology and technical, personnel, coordination, information, motivation and organization of business and labor.Organizers: Executive directors (managers), heads of institutions and offices of public administration and organizational analysts, the content of their work.

Exercises:

The emphasis on strengthening understanding of organizational life groups, the calculation of quality indicators of the organization as a platform for its improvement and analysis of the daily papers and magazines related to organizational problems in the organization. Students will also get fully acquainted with the organizational problems in society arising from the use of information technology (IT), as well as organizational solutions that enable more efficient use of IT in the organization.

Seminar:

Obtain information on specific organizational problems in society or in dealing with the operations of the companies, their identification and placement in appropriate organizational relationship and the creation of a proposal for their removal.

Objectives and competences:

The basic purpose of this course is to acquaint students with areas of organization in organizations (companies, institutions, etc..) as internal or external structure of relationships between people, so that will be able to participate in the operation of organization and - in particular as a potential head - in a creative way to participate in the efficient creation of goods in them. Such objectives are to ensure familiarity with basic organizational concepts and their interdependence as well as the ability to study and assess the benefits of organizing society. This should enable students to understand the link between the organization of society and the adequacy of conditions for the establishment and rearrangement of information system networks.

Intended learning outcomes:

Extensive knowledge of concepts such as companies, organizations, relationships, structure, processes, systems and applications, and their mutual interdependence. These concepts should be learned along with the understanding of organizational principles of a company, necessary for the perception or even the performance of management in companies.

Learning and teaching methods:

Lectures with exercises evaluating understanding of concepts in real organizational situations. Homework in the form of seminars related to the assessment of the specific organizational situation.
